The last-mile food and package delivery industry, valued at nearly $990 billion worldwide, faces mounting pressure to balance costs with surging demand. Naurt, a geo-location startup, has launched its innovative software to address this challenge. After successfully completing over 80 pilots in collaboration with various organizations, Naurt is going public with a £300,000 investment from Founder and Lightning.
Naurt’s core mission is clear: solving the biggest headache for delivery drivers—finding optimal parking spots and building entrances. Their software provides precise location information, ensuring faster deliveries and reducing the risk of lost or delayed parcels. This innovation not only increases delivery capacity by 5% to 15% but also significantly improves delivery companies’ gross profit margins.
During an 18-month beta testing phase with 83 organizations, Naurt achieved a remarkable 6.67% increase in daily deliveries, equivalent to an extra delivery per driver per day. This boost translates into substantial cost savings, especially when labor accounts for 40% of delivery service expenses.
Founded in 2020, Naurt’s software-first approach focuses on refining GPS tracking accuracy. Their unique solution has earned recognition, including winning Tech Nation’s Rising Stars startup competition.
Jack Maddalena, Naurt ‘s CEO, stressed the importance of location data quality, saying, “Accurate location tracking alone is insufficient in this fast-paced industry. There’s a desperate need for location intelligence in every delivery, and we’ve created a solution that achieves this without extra hardware.”
In today’s economic landscape, where profitability is paramount, last-mile companies seek operational efficiencies. Naurt’s software not only streamlines deliveries but also collects valuable data, with over 500 million location points gathered in collaboration with global delivery giants.
Recent research highlights the need for intelligent parking solutions, with potential savings of up to 27.9% in parking search time. Conor Moylan, Chief Investment Officer at Founder + Lightning, believes Naurt can drastically reduce last-mile delivery inefficiencies.
Looking ahead, Naurt aims to collaborate with multiple delivery companies, aiming to become an industry-standard software solution. Beyond deliveries, Naurt sees its technology aiding utility companies in asset tracking and revolutionizing maintenance protocols.
Naurt is ready to redefine the industry, increasing delivery capacity, optimizing profitability, and leaving a lasting impact.
