Kroger is adding delivery of floral bouquets and fresh sushi to its services through Uber Eats.

The Kroger Co. is expanding its delivery options with Uber Eats Marketplace to offer premium floral bouquets and sushi, catering to customer demand for fresh products that can be conveniently delivered to their preferred destination. Kroger’s delivery of Bloom Haus floral bouquets from its stores nationwide and Uber Eats’ platform for sushi orders are just in time for Mother’s Day, providing customers the option to have bouquets and sushi items delivered within minutes.

Kroger’s SVP Chief Merchant and Marketing Officer, Stuart Aitken, said: “Kroger continues to bring customers additional ways to enjoy their favorite fresh products with zero compromise on convenience or value. Now with Uber Eats, our customers have more options to quickly and easily order a California Crunch Roll for dinner tonight or send a fresh, premium floral bouquet just to say, ‘I’m thinking about you.'”

Christian Freese, Uber’s Head of Grocery and Retail for the United States and Canada, stated that this new service exemplifies the growing reach of digital commerce. “Finding the freshest, highest-value treats – even for delivery – can be time-consuming. This new curated collaboration with Kroger across floral and sushi makes it easier than ever for people to treat themselves and others on-demand,” said Freese.

To celebrate the launch, Kroger is offering special promotions for eligible customers until June 30. Customers can order a variety of floral options and sushi items, including rolls, combos, dumplings, poke bowls, bottled sauces, and more. All orders are prepared and packed at Kroger’s family of stores.

The Cincinnati-based Kroger has nearly 2,800 retail food stores with various banner names. It ranks fourth on Progressive Grocer’s 2022 list of the top food and consumables retailers in North America.
