foodpanda, the global delivery platform, has launched its on-demand, express delivery service, pandago, in Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines, which allows for instant deliveries of small parcels. The service was first introduced in Singapore in August 2022 and has since expanded into other regions. Pandago enables customers to deliver urgent items such as keys, gifts, medication and essential documents, with delivery times of up to 60 minutes through the pandago feature on the foodpanda app.
The launch of pandago in these countries is particularly timely for foodpanda as it reports significant growth in its quick-commerce sector. Last year, the delivery service saw an increase in demand for categories such as health and wellness, beauty and pets in quick commerce. Health and wellness orders alone rose by 115% in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period last year.
foodpanda has enhanced pandago by providing customers with real-time tracking and a chat function for further peace of mind. The company also offers its customers the ability to get in touch with the assigned delivery partner to receive updates on their delivery details. Pandago is currently available in Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand and Taiwan, with plans for further rollouts later this year.
Additionally, foodpanda recently announced a tie-up with Huawei to launch its app on the Huawei AppGallery for all Huawei smartphone users, with the foodpanda app being pre-installed on millions of new Huawei mobile devices across the region. Huawei will also run a series of integrated advertising campaigns on foodpanda’s adtech platform, panda ads. In turn, foodpanda will leverage Huawei’s Ads platform, including Huawei’s own media and third-party media channels, to reach out to Huawei users.
