DoorDash makes bundled orders mandatory for restaurants

03/23/2023

“We are excited to expand DoubleDash to all of our restaurant partners in the United States,” said A. Toby Espinosa, Head of Restaurant Partnerships at DoorDash. “We believe this program will help our partners reach new customers and grow their businesses.”

U.S. restaurants are now automatically enrolled in DoorDash‘s DoubleDash program, which allows customers to order from two businesses in one delivery. The program is designed to help restaurants reach new customers and grow their businesses, with DoorDash saying more than 40% of DoubleDash orders are from customers who are new to the second business.

However, the program does come with some drawbacks. Delivery times are lengthened by an average of six minutes, and some restaurants may be concerned about the quality of their food when it is bundled with other items.

“At DoorDash , we are committed to helping our partners succeed,” Espinosa said. “We are confident that DoubleDash will be a valuable tool for our partners to reach new customers and grow their businesses.”

“DoubleDash is a great way for restaurants to reach new customers and grow their businesses,” said one restaurant owner. “It’s a win-win for everyone involved.”

So if you’re a restaurant looking to reach new customers and grow your business, DoubleDash is the way to go.
