06/10/2023
Deliveroo has committed £20m to find its biggest ‘Summer Saver’ campaign to date in a bid to help shoppers save amid the cost-of-living crisis.

Deliveroo, the renowned rapid delivery firm, has demonstrated its commitment to alleviating the impact of the current cost-of-living crisis by unveiling its most significant “Summer Saver” campaign to date, with a staggering £20 million investment. The objective of this campaign is to assist shoppers in saving money during these challenging times.

Starting in mid-July, over four million loyal customers of Deliveroo will have the opportunity to unlock substantial discounts of up to £22 on orders placed at participating restaurants or grocers. By spending a minimum of £25 on any order, individuals can avail themselves of this enticing offer. Specifically, they will receive a £5 discount on their subsequent order, followed by a generous £7 discount on the second order, and finally, an impressive £10 discount on the third order.

In addition to these remarkable discounts, Deliveroo has recently introduced a range of enticing local offers across various regions in the United Kingdom. These offers enable customers to save up to an astounding £100 on orders from local chain restaurants and independent eateries. This initiative aims to provide support to local businesses while simultaneously offering substantial savings to consumers.

Furthermore, customers can now benefit from a remarkable opportunity to save a total of £40 on their next four grocery orders. This initiative is an addition to Deliveroo’s ongoing price match campaign, which has been successfully established in collaboration with prominent grocery retailers such as Morrisons, Co-op, and Asda. Through this campaign, Deliveroo ensures that the prices of over 550 essential items, including staples like milk, bread, pasta, fruits, vegetables, and even toilet rolls, are matched to those offered by the aforementioned retailers.

Commenting on this groundbreaking campaign, Deliveroo’s founder and chief executive, Will Shu, stated, “We are determined to alleviate the financial burden faced by consumers due to the escalating cost of living. Our summer of savings aims to make it more accessible for Deliveroo customers to indulge in their favorite takeaways, support local restaurants, and obtain true value during their weekly grocery shopping. With the launch of our most extensive savings campaign ever, our aim is to reach as many individuals as possible, ensuring that the British public’s hard-earned money stretches further.”

The “Summer Saver” campaign unveiled by Deliveroo serves as a testament to the company’s unwavering dedication to supporting its customers during challenging times, while simultaneously fostering growth and resilience within the food delivery industry. By providing substantial discounts and maintaining a commitment to price parity, Deliveroo aims to enhance the overall customer experience while contributing positively to the economic well-being of both consumers and local businesses alike.
