Careem forges new partnership with Sultan in Kuwait

Careem, the leading “Everything App” in the region, has unveiled an exciting collaboration with Sultan, the renowned retail grocery chain, to simplify transportation for its customers. Under this partnership, Careem will extend an exclusive 30% discount to locals, residents, and visitors using its ride-hailing service to travel to and from any Sultan branch or location in Kuwait, allowing up to four discounted rides every month.

To avail of this discount, Sultan customers simply need to download the Careem app and enter the promo code “SULTAN30” before requesting a ride to or from any of Sultan’s stores and markets across the country, excluding Sultan Express stores.

Antonio Al Asmar, General Manager of Ride Hailing – UAE, GCC & Jordan, expressed the significance of this collaboration, stating, “This partnership reflects our commitment to establishing new connections with Kuwaiti partners and enhancing the Careem experience. As we continue to expand and adapt to the country’s unique needs, we strive to provide greater value to our diverse customer base, as well as to Sultan’s.”

He further emphasized that Careem customers can now enjoy Sultan’s high-quality products tailored to the preferences of both locals and visitors, while Sultan patrons can access Careem’s convenient ride-hailing services.

Al Asmar acknowledged the challenges of navigating rush hour traffic and city driving, especially for visitors and tourists, highlighting Careem’s commitment to offering discounted rides to Sultan shoppers. This collaboration aligns with Careem’s core mission of simplifying and enhancing people’s lives in the region, one ride at a time.

Bassam Zantout, Chief Operating Officer of Sultan, reaffirmed the retailer’s dedication to delivering exceptional value to its customers. This partnership introduces an exclusive 30% discount on Careem rides, available four times a month, at any of Sultan’s 18 locations. Zantout noted that this alliance reflects their commitment to not only saving customers time but also putting money back into their pockets, promising an enriched and cost-effective experience for all.

The Careem-Sultan collaboration exemplifies the power of partnerships in the transportation and retail sectors, aiming to elevate customer convenience and satisfaction. As businesses continue to adapt to changing consumer needs, such collaborations demonstrate the commitment to providing tailored solutions and enhancing the overall customer experience.
