Supermarket Launches World's First TikTok House In The Yorkshire Dales

Five popular TikTok stars are embarking on a week-long culinary adventure in a farmhouse located in Yorkshire Dales, courtesy of Asda. During their stay, they will create cooking content and participate in food challenges, all aimed at promoting the supermarket’s offerings.

Asda will be delivering daily ingredients directly to the farmhouse, allowing the TikTok stars to experiment with seasonal flavors and ingredients to develop new and exciting dishes. From innovative twists on classics to trendy culinary creations, the creators will showcase their culinary talents and inspire viewers with their mouthwatering recipes.

The chosen TikTok stars for this unique collaboration include Max McCann, Zena Kamgaing, Kausar Raja, Emily Roz, and Margie Nomura. These creators were selected for their ability to deliver enjoyable, delicious, and easily replicable dishes through their engaging content on TikTok and Instagram.

Throughout the month, the content produced by the TikTok stars will be shared across their personal social media platforms as well as Asda’s channels, using the hashtag #AsdaFoodTokHouse. This initiative will provide a 24/7 spotlight on Asda’s food quality and offerings.

Sam Dickson, Acting Chief Customer Officer at Asda, expressed excitement about launching the first-ever FoodTok house. She emphasized the influence of platforms like TikTok and Instagram in the culinary realm and highlighted Asda’s commitment to providing fresh, quality ingredients at affordable prices.

While content houses that bring creators together under one roof have been around for some time, the Asda FoodTok House represents the first initiative of its kind by a supermarket. This innovative approach aims to showcase the breadth and quality of Asda’s products while making the preparation of delicious meals and great-tasting food accessible to everyone.

Asda’s in-house marketing team and Cow PR collaborated to execute this groundbreaking concept. Mark Perkins, Executive Creative Director at Cow, highlighted the importance of delivering content that is not overly branded or self-serving. The goal was to showcase Asda’s quality, produce, and ingredients while inspiring consumers at home with new recipes and innovative ideas.
